Missing manifest or a blank file page

Extract the package and select the directory containing manifest.json when loading the extension. Do not select a collection of ZIP files or open index.html directly through file://.

Missing previews

Check the edition status, the first-20 limit in Free, preview consent, and Settings → Advanced → Preview API. A provider timeout, CAPTCHA, or sign-in page is not evidence that the bookmark itself is broken. Use your own cover or capture the visible tab.

A PDF will not open

Try the saved URL in a normal browser tab. A local file may have moved or been deleted; a remote server may block access. A bookmark stores an address, not a backup of the file.

Search seems to miss a folder

Check whether you are using the folder selector's search, standard bookmark search, or semantic search. Clear an old query before browsing. Main-search folder results are a recent local-build improvement; consult the changelog for the customer-package status.

Settings, notes, or locks appear to have reset

Stop and record the browser profile, extension ID, version, edition, and installation path. Check whether another copy or a different edition was installed beside the original. Do not uninstall, clear extension data, or create replacement locks while investigating.

The same version label does not prove two archives contain the same local development fixes. Updating safely explains identity and storage limits.
