  1. Open Widgets<\/strong> and add Pomodoro.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose Focus or Break and set a preset or custom duration. You can also set time by dragging on the timer dial.<\/li>\n
  3. Start the timer. Pause, reset, or mute it using its controls.<\/li>\n
  4. Move or resize it to fit your workspace, or use its compact mode.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Focus and Break separate work time from rest time. They are not different clocks: both count down the chosen duration.<\/p>\n

    After closing the Groovy tab<\/h2>\n

    The extension’s background timer can continue while you browse other tabs or close the workspace tab. Pin Groovy’s extension icon to see its timer state and badge. At the end it can play a sound and show a browser notification, subject to permissions and system settings.<\/p>\n

    The alarm repeats until you respond or it reaches its timeout. Muting disables the sound. Test a short timer and check browser notification permissions before relying on an alert.<\/p>\n

    Keep the browser running.<\/strong> This is not a promise that an alarm will sound while the browser is fully shut down or the computer is asleep. The countdown uses timestamps rather than depending on every animation frame being rendered.<\/p>\n
