The Crane theme is translation ready and provides a POT file for you to be able to translate with different tools. In this article, we\u2019ll explain the translation process using the Loco Translate plugin.<\/p>\n

This plugin is free and an excellent plugin for translation management.<\/p>\n

Installing the Loco Translate Plugin<\/h2>\n

    From WordPress sidebar menu go to Plugins > Add New<\/code><\/p>\n

    Search for Loco Translate<\/code> then click Install Now<\/code><\/p>\n

    Click on Activate<\/code> when the installation is done.<\/p>\n

    Translating Crane theme with Loco Translate Plugin<\/h2>\n

    To demonstrate the translation process, we will translate theme\u00a0to Finnish.<\/p>\n

    1. \n

      From WordPress sidebar menu go to Loco Translate > Themes<\/code><\/p>\n

      From the Translate Themes page, click on Crane<\/p>\n

      \"\"<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      From the Themes\/Crane page click on New Language.<\/p>\n

      \"\"<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      In the new language configuration section, select Finnish from the Choose a Language field, and then click on Start Translating.<\/p>\n

    5. \n

      From\u00a0Themes\/Crane\/crane-fi.po click on the text that you want to translate in the Source text, type its translation in the translation field.\u00a0Do the same for other fields and then click on\u00a0Save.<\/p>\n

      From the WordPress left menu, go to Settings > General page and select Finnish from the Site Language field.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
